At The Green Elephant we keep the air fresh a 100% non-smoking hostel. Smoking indoors may result in a €150 cleaning fee.

Pets are welcome in private rooms just let us know in advance.

VENDING MACHINE
In the Study Area on the 1st floor, you'll find a vending machine for anything you might need: a tootbrush, Nespresso coffee cups, earplugs, something sweet or whatever.

RENT A SUP BOARD
Stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) is a fun way to explore rivers and lakes while getting a full-body workout. It’s a great way to strengthen your core and enjoy the outdoors at the same time. We have two SUP boards available for rent,  simply pick them up at reception. The boards are provided deflated in a carry bag, including a paddle and pump. Ask our team for the best local SUP spots.

Healthy breakfast is a must. Start your day with fresh fruit, vegetable juices, overnight oats, cereals and freshly baked bread, plus vegan and gluten-free options. Whether you’re heading out to explore Maastricht or settling in for a focused workday, our breakfast is designed to fuel you with energy and keep you feeling good.

PARKING
You can park your car at Q-Park P+R Station Maastricht for €16 per 24 hours. The parking garage is less than a two-minute walk from The Green Elephant. 

HOW DOES IT WORK?

• If you stay longer than 24 hours (or multiples of 24 hours), additional time will be charged at the standard rate.

• When you enter the parking garage, use your debit or credit card to register your entry time. No ticket will be issued at this point.

• When you return to leave, pay at the ticket machine at Q-Park using the same card to receive your exit confirmation.

• Park at Q-Park P+R Station Maastricht, Parallelweg 15, 6221 BD Maastricht (height: 1.90 m).

We’re located right next to Maastricht Central Station, the city’s main public transport hub. Simply take the train or bus and you’ll be here in minutes.

Need a taxi? You can easily order one via the iPad at reception. We recommend booking in advance to avoid waiting time.

We love kids! There’s plenty to do for young explorers both in the hostel and around Maastricht. Ask us about our favourite family-friendly spots in the city. Inside the hostel, you’ll find board games and musical instruments in the cabinet at Restaurant Serendipity. Head downstairs towards the DIY Meal Prepper and you’ll discover a cosy kids’ corner there too.At reception, we also have a special city map for kids, highlighting the best playgrounds and family activities.

Whether you’re staying in a bunk, a Tiny Dream House, or a private room (with or without a private bathroom), the Morgenfrisk bath houses are available to all guests 24/7.

You’ll find them on every floor throughout the building. Each bath house features multiple rain showers with Marcel’s Green Soap body wash, sinks with mirrors, and hair dryers.

BICYCLE RENTAL
Exploring Maastricht by bike is easy. At The Green Elephant, you can rent a bicycle via MyHotelBikes. 

•   Price: €16/day for a regular bicycle (includes breakdown service and insurance).

There’s nothing quite like that top-to-toe tingling feeling as you emerge from an ice-cold shower after a sauna session. Vivacious Eco City Spa, part of The Green Elephant Hostels, offers everything you need to fully unwind:

• Regular and bucket showers

• A cooling ice wall

• Soothing infrared heat

Open daily from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Reservation required and subject to availability.

For the #fitgirls and #fitboys, fitness equipment is placed throughout the hostel our micro gyms. Follow the full route for a complete workout. 

Microgym 1 – Air Bike & Spin Bikes

Start at reception. Walk downstairs into the restaurant and follow the glass wall alongside the garden. At the end of the corridor, you'll find Microgym 1

Microgym 2 – Abdominal bench

From Microgym 1, take the first door on the left and use your keycard. At the end of the hallway, turn right towards the staircase where you'll find the abdominal bench. #workthoseabs

Microgym 3 – Ski Machine

From Microgym 2, take the stairs to the first floor. The ski machine is located at the end of the corridor on the rightt. Use at your own risk😉

Microgym 4 – Ab board, weights & treadmill

Continue to the second floor. The ab board and weights are located near the stairwel, and the treadmill is positioned to the left.

When you’ve completed your workout, follow the stairs back to the ground floor and return via the corridor to Microgym 1.

At the other end of Restaurant Serendipity, you’ll find a cabinet filled with books, games and musical instruments, everything you need for quality time with friends, family or fellow travellers.

Our Chill Circle is the perfect place to unwind with a book or relax in front of the large TV with your travel companions. The TV is equipped with Chromecast, so you can connect your phone to stream Netflix or YouTube. You’ll find the Chill Circle in the basement near the DIY Meal Prepper.

FLOORPLAN
Each guest room contains a floor plan to guide you in case of evacuation during an emergency. Please take a moment to review the safety instructions located on the back of your room door. Our team is trained to assist guests in emergency situations.

POWER FAILURE
In the event of a power failure, emergency lighting will automatically activate throughout the building. Candles are not permitted in bedrooms for safety reasons.
